Position offered:
This role handles and responds to all front-end support calls and e-mails coming from the internal trade desks. Assistance or troubleshooting, product or application matters. As a front-line member of the IT Business Support team, you will provide assistance to external trading clients as well as internal staff. This will be done by engaging directly with the application support and engineering team as as well as other support teams in the organization. As the position is part of the overall IT Business Support team, it is very important to be able to proactively engage the rest of the team to train them in the use of the monitoring tools and ensure rapid responses to production incidents.

Monitor and measure performance of distributed storage environment.
Train support team members in Lithuania to performing alerts and monitoring functions.
Provide front-end monitoring for all trading systems in FICC, equity and FX groups.
Follow and improve support escalation procedures to deliver rapid response times to production incidents.
Work with the application support and engineering teams to troubleshoot production incidents.
Troubleshoot production incidents.
Document support workflows, processes and procedures.
Build-out IT Business Support knowledge base articles.
Utilise database support dashboards and metrics to facilitate a data-driven approach to problem resolution.

Required Competencies

Very good understanding of the underpinnings of incident and problem management (ITIL)
Experience in front-line trading support functions – huge advantage
Ability to operate effectively in a high pressure environment
Customer facing – able to confidently interact with demanding front office users
Good analytical and troubleshooting skills
Ability to take full responsibility and ownership of tasks with a strong focus on hitting deadlines whilst being service minded
Experience in utilising monitoring and alerting for storage environments
Experience with IT projects with a focus on timely delivery
Experience of communicating at all levels of the organisation
Fluent English (written and spoken)
Windows OS

Desired Competencies

Experience in providing support for trading systems in at least one asset class (FICC, Equity or FX)
ITIL Certification
Some scripting experience Linux
Ability to troubleshoot problems through a variety of browsers.
Experience of working with Atlassian tools (i.e. Confluence, JIRA and Bamboo)
Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
